Saddle Bags

Another day I woke up and there was no breakfast to grab ... hmmm ... I need to do some shopping, but I would need some bags.

Saddle Bags options considered:

  1. ORIGINAL SIDE FRAME + Shad SH23
  2. BackSeat accessory harness:
  3. Throw-over saddle bags
  4. Waterproof bag inners

Spending some time with AI and Google, having my budget on mind this is the final choice:

  • Oxford Nomad universal saddle harness (25 EUR),
  • universal large-capacity side bags (Temu 46 EUR), seat bag medium (Temu 13 EUR) and seat bag small (Temu 6 EUR),
  • 2x 25l inflatable waterproof bags (Temu 8 EUR)
  • Bungee Cords with Hooks (Temu 10 EUR)

Now let's attach.

  1. Dismount back seat - see how to here ...
  2. Prepare Oxford harness for mounting:
    1. shorten strips
    2. fasten on the back seat from below
    3. tighten remaining part of strips using velcro
  3. Get th backseat back on the bike
  4. Now attach the bags:
    1. bind the bags
    2. fix the bags to harness using bungee cords
    3. ...
  5. If you have also a top saddle bag, attach to harness using 4 plastic eyelet. I used the top from SW Motech Trax ADV ... for now it fits the purpose, later I will check for something else.

Done.
