Navi holder

· G

Well, the "phone mirror" and embended navi functionality is far behind my expectations, I decided to use my own phone/navi solution.

Searching for available options you need the basic data: handlebar diameter and space available for mounting bar. This is what I was able to measure:

  • The hadlebar is not formed keeping the exact diameter so I took the largest size.
  • Minimum distance for placing the mounts is 120mm.
  • Maximum mounting bar width 270mm
  • Color: Black

This searching parameters should be sufficient.

Again china to china - Temu provided a clear winner of the contest for 6,- EUR (incl. the new EU fee), so easy choice.

I used my own rubber straps to secure it; the original plastic adapters for different diameters aren't usable—the mount isn't sturdy enough—it slides around easily.

Do not tighten too much, you will need to ajdust the position later on, during Navi holder mounting.

Now this is how the base looks like:

Once done, any phone/navi holder of your choice is attacheable. I used my old but proven Givi with quick detach.

Done.
